GEORGIA STATE BABE RUTH TOURNAMENT SCHEDULES/BRACKETS (UPDATED 6/14)
Columbus Babe Ruth League will serve as the host league for the state tournaments in the 13U, 14U, and 16-18U baseball age groups this July. Download the latest schedule/brackets for these tournaments using the links below. There will not be state tournaments in any other baseball age group or in any softball age group. CAL RIPKEN COMPOSITE BAT MORATORIUM LIFTED - READ FOR DETAILS (UPDATED 2/4)
Babe Ruth League, Inc. has lifted the moratorium on the use of composite bats in Cal Ripken 12 and under play for the 2011 season for those composite bats specifically marked as Approved for Play in Babe Ruth Baseball as described in the memo from BRL President Steven Tellefsen. This ruling is only effective for 2 1/4" barrel bats and all bats must also adhere to all other rules as set forth in the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth 2011 rule book. CAL RIPKEN & BABE RUTH BASEBALL APPROVED COMPOSITE BATS (UPDATED 1/21)
Babe Ruth League, Inc. has instituted approved bat lists for Cal Ripken (12U and under) and Babe Ruth (13U and older) baseball. These approved bat lists, as of 1/19/2011, can be downloaded using the links below. For Cal Ripken baseball, the list is produced by Babe Ruth League and the most recent version can always be found on the national organization web site. Any bat that does not appear on the approved bat list should be considered an illegal bat and therefore may not be used in practice, league play, or in the tournament trail. For Babe Ruth baseball, the National Federation of High School (NFHS) publishes the approved composite bat list and BRL permits the use of any bat that is on the latest NFHS approved bat list. This list, also available for download below, can be found on the Babe Ruth national web site as well as the NFHS national web site.

CAL RIPKEN/BABE RUTH SOUTHEAST REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS - 2011 (UPDATED 3/7/11)
The 2011 Regional tournament schedule including dates and locations for each of the age groups conducting a Regional tournament have been substantially determined. Several of the age group regionals have not finalized but should be by March 1st. CHARTER AND INSURE USING THE ONLINE DATA CENTER (UPDATED 1/21)
Expanding on the Data Center tool introduced in 2009 and improved in 2010, the Babe Ruth Data Center is available for 2011 league charters and insurance. Existing leagues (including those with new league presidents) may login and view charter and insurance history and renew for 2011. New leagues may register with the Data Center to create an account and to charter and insure their league for 2011 play. If you are a new league, please contact the state commissioner, Reese Jacobs, for information on how to charter for 2011 or visit the Data Center and register online as a new league. ROSTER SUBMISSION USING BR ONLINE ROSTER TOOL (UPDATED 1/21)
All Cal Ripken baseball as well as Babe Ruth baseball and softball regular season and tournament team rosters must be submitted electronically this year using the Online Roster Tool which is free to all leagues. Click on the link below to download a tutorial on how to create (or upload) rosters, how to add and delete players, and how to submit rosters to headquarters. You no longer need to forward copies of your rosters to your state commissioner or to the National office since your rosters can be viewed by league officials online. 2011 CAL RIPKEN & BABE RUTH LEAGUE RULE CHANGES (ADDED 1/21)
For the latest rule changes from Babe Ruth League as it pertains to Cal Ripken baseball, Babe Ruth softball, and Babe Ruth baseball, please click on the link below to visit the national web site. A significant change in softball implemented for the 2011 season is the change in pitching distance from 40' to 43' for the 14U, 16U, and 18U age groups.

Joining the fastest growing youth baseball and softball program in the US today. Affiliating with Babe Ruth is easy and fast. We offer tee ball, baseball, and softball programs for youths ranging in age from 4 to 18 years old. We also our Buddy Ball program for special needs players. Our Cal Ripken division features baseball for players 4-12 and the Babe Ruth division is for older players 13-18 in age. Babe Ruth softball is offered in the 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U age groups. We also offer a comprehensive summer tournament trail in baseball and softball culminating with World Series play in a number of different age groups in both sports. Chartering and insuring your league with Babe Ruth can be done online.
